It's Ontario Public Library Week!

October 19 – 25 is Ontario Public Library Week! Here is what is happening this week:

Website Launch

We are excited to announce that the Ramara Township Public Library’s new website has launched! It is easier than ever to find all the library has to offer. Explore the website to find eResources, information about accessibility, programs for families, and more! Visit: https://www.RamaraPublicLibrary.org/

Drop-In Children’s Programs

We are celebrating our favourite children’s authors all week long! Drop in Tuesday – Saturday for stories, crafts, and activities from the most popular children’s authors including: Robert Munch, Sandra Boynton, and Mo Willems.

Library Draw

We are celebrating Ontario Public Library Week with a fun draw for all ages! Visit the library for a chance to enter a draw for a $25 gift card to a local business of your choice or one of two brand new books! Fill out a ballot after you stay and play, use the WiFi, sign up for a card, check out materials or just enjoy the atmosphere with a coffee. Winners will be announced on Tuesday, October 28, 2025.

Library Membership Drive

Love the library? Bring a friend or neighbour to sign up for a library card! Stop in to learn about new collections, items, and resources the library has to offer.

2024 Annual Report Available

Did you know that over 300 new people signed up for library cards last year? Or that almost 5,000 people attended library programs? Or that the library saved people over $500,000 by using the library instead of purchasing books? Learn all about what the library did last year in the 2024 annual report.  

Borrow Beyond Books

Your library offers more than just books and DVDs. Our library of things has a variety to choose from including Ontario Park Permits, a projector, a walker, and learning tools for kids! Starting this week you can borrow a crock pot from the library. It is perfect for testing out new recipes, making a bit more for family gatherings, or cooking at the cottage. Look up all the things you can borrow on our catalogue!

The best way to support your library is to use it! Visit either branch and check out a book or movie, print something off, or learn how to use our online databases. Don't forget to follow us on Facebook, Instagram, or sign up for the weekly newsletter to stay up-to-date on all things library.
