At Ramara Public Library, we’re dedicated to providing inclusive services and materials for all community members. Our Accessible Collections offer a variety of formats, tools, and technologies to support individuals with visual, physical, or learning disabilities.

 


 

CELA – Centre for Equitable Library Access

The Centre for Equitable Library Access (CELA) provides books and other materials in accessible formats to people with print disabilities. Through CELA, you can access:

  • Audiobooks

  • Braille and eBraille books

  • eBooks with adjustable text sizes

  • Described videos

  • Accessible newspapers and magazines

If you have a print disability, you may be eligible for free access to CELA's services. Ramara Public Library staff can help sign you up.

CELA-Compatible Devices Available at the Library

Envoy Connect:
A portable audiobook player that comes preloaded with titles from CELA. Easy to use and perfect for on-the-go listening—no internet connection required while using it.

DAISY Reader:
A user-friendly CD player specifically designed for DAISY-format audiobooks. This device is available courtesy of CELA and supports navigation by chapter, page, or section, making it ideal for accessible reading.
