Testimonials
My Ramara Library GOLD card has opened my WORLD from BRECHIN too far BEYOND. Our 'Tech with BEC' was at a wedding this past Friday yet your new addition, Vanessa was able to both accommodate my SPECIAL NEEDS and assist me in Communication with my insurance, Ministry of Attorney General's office, and Public Guardian and Trustees. It's times like these I miss the late Dr. Wayne Dyer and his PBS messages cause Dr. Dyer would make a great fundraiser for your excellent, life giving and life affirmation services.

Thanks for the extra special service grabbing the book [my grandson] was waiting for. Jo-Hellen has gone above and beyond over the summer finding books he has really enjoyed. With his dyslexia, reading is sometimes very frustrating for him, but the series that Jo-Hellen suggested has given him a lot of enjoyment and kept him away from hours of non productive screen time.
Thanks again,
JoAnn
To whom it may concern,
I am writing as a patron of the Ramara Public Library. Although our family resides in Hamilton most of the year, our cottage in Ramara Township allows us to use the services of this amazing library and community hub throughout the spring, summer and fall. The Ramara Public Library is something very special. Its staff and programs are the best I have ever seen.
The Staff are excellent. At Ramara, the personalized service one gets when they enter is something that has been lost in most urban centres. Not only is the Ramara staff knowledgeable and helpful, they know the names and the histories of their patrons. They greet them with friendly smiles and make suggestions based on their patron’s histories. Even though they don’t see us until the spring, they welcome us back and make our children feel that they never left. They spend time with their community members and are completely engaged in the service they provide as well as creating a genuine community centre.
Moreover, the services provided at Ramara, exceed any I have seen. Over the last 10 years our children have been involved in the Library’s day programs and they have always looked forward to the crafts, the art and the reading involved. When most students suffer from typical summer lethargy, our kids where more engaged in reading then they had been all school year. The staff provided and elicited a great deal of excitement around reading. Our children devoured books and looked forward to reporting them to the staff at Ramara. “I can’t wait to tell Becky or Kennedy about my book!” has been a familiar quote around our home. So many children of this area rely on this program so that they don’t fall behind in their reading levels they have garnered during the school year. I know that our three children have benefitted greatly from this opportunity and have gained an excitement in reading and a level of engagement in learning through the efforts of the Ramara Public Library. Sincerely,
Rob Flosman and Meredith Bourne
