Information and Constitution

PURPOSE:

• to make the community of Ramara aware of the libraries and the services they offer
• to support the Library Board in maintaining library services in Ramara
• to act as a fundraiser for money to be spent in the library materials and programs

GOALS:

1. to increase the use of the libraries
2. to initiate new directions for the libraries and provide support for them
3. to have representation from all areas of the Township

MEETINGS

• will take place in various locations in the Township as membership dictates
• planning meetings will be held on the second Wednesday of each month
• executive meetings or committee meetings will be called as necessary
• a Library Board member will attend monthly meeting

STRUCTURE

• the following positions can be held by one person or shared: chairperson, secretary, treasurer
• other positions or committees may be formed if needed
• election of officers will be held once a year in the month of April
• the fiscal year-end will be March 31st at which time the treasurer must show a complete record of all financial transactions and be prepared to file form T3010 with Revenue Canada
• the organization shall be carried on without purpose of gain for its members, and any profits or other gains to the organization shall be used in promoting its objectives
