Our group of volunteers was formed in 1997 as a response to government funding cuts to the local library system. We wanted to make the community aware of the libraries and their services, to support the Library Board, and to act as a fundraiser for money to be spent on library materials and programs.
Our meetings are held during the second
week of each month (daytime in the winter, evenings in the spring
and fall) in the Board Room of the Ramara Centre.
We continue to proudly support the Library financially and with volunteer hours. Many Library material acquisitions, furnishings, technological updates and programmes would not be possible without our help.
